Example of a Steubenville Conference Keynote: Jimmy Mitchell (2023)

What is it?
As a part of the outreach efforts of Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, the Steubenville Summer Youth Conferences provide a unique opportunity to gather with teens from across the nation in Catholic community. The conference combines awesome talks, incredible music, praise and worship, time for prayer and fellowship, entertainment and liturgies. Since 1976, Franciscan University has sponsored youth conferences across the United States. This summer, over 50,000 Catholic teens across North America will attend one of 16 Steubenville Youth Conferences to encounter the God who calls us His sons and daughters. Come and experience His overwhelming love for you. You belong here. We can't wait for you to join us on this weekend!
Who is it for?
The Steubenville Conference trip is open to all high school-aged youth, spanning from rising 9th graders through graduated 12th graders!
Who is on this year's ministry team?
The Steubenville Youth Conference will be held on Friday, July 10th through Sunday, July 12th, 2026 at Gas South Arena. Our group plans to arrive on Thursday, July 9th, 2026 as a group with St. Edward the Confessor, Richmond, St. Joseph, Petersburg, St. Bede, Williamsburg, and a few small groups from the beach parishes.
All youth and adult participants will be housed at the Courtyard Atlanta Duluth/Gwinnett Place located about a 10-minute drive by bus from Gas South Arena.
Travel, Lodging, & Food
We plan to travel by bus to Atlanta, Georgia, which is approximately an eight hour drive. Teens will be housed in the Courtyard Atlanta Duluth/Gwinnett Place hotel by gender with 2-4 teens per hotel room. Teens will primarily be with teens from St. Michael, but may be mixed up with a teen from St. Edward or St. Bede based on odd numbers and room configurations. We ask that you refrain from making room requests. The puzzle of rooming nearly 100 people is already daunting enough. We will try to honor some known friendships where possible. They will also make new friends! Meals and snacks will be served at the conference, but teens should bring money for lunches on the drive both Thursday and Sunday.
Our group will leave from St. Edward, Richmond's youth center at 10:00am on Thursday, July 9th and would return back to St. Edward around 10:00pm on Sunday, July 12th. Specific details on departure on July 9th will follow once finalized.
In order to receive the St. Michael rate and participate in this trip, participants must partake in all aspects of the trip. For liability reasons, participants cannot opt to ride separately or stay in other accommodations and still be considered part of this parish group experience.
